1) Put your feet together so you can get maximum power when you push off.

2) Place your hands in front of you.

3) Swing your arms back and get on your tip toes. This will give you more momentum when you push off.

4) Bend your knees like you are doing a squat. Remember to keep your legs together for maximum power. Also do not drop your chest.

5) Swing your hands straight up and push hard with your legs. Stop your hand movement when you feel your arms are by your ears. You should look like a stick when you are in the air. Keep your stomach hollow and tense up all the muscles in your body.

6) Once you get to this point don not throw your head back, because your head is the center of rotation. This part is crucial; in mid air start tucking your knees like if you were going to hit your chest. Simultaneously start bringing your arms down while rotating them outward and grab on to your outer thigh. This will help you rotate faster.

7) Let go of your thighs when you see the floor and land.

Tips:

1) Stretch out. Don’t do this without warming up; you will pull a muscle sooner or later. Since you have to move so many parts of your body fast most likely one of them will get pulled.

2) Be confident. If you need pace and talk to your self do it. You do not want to spazz in the middle of the air and land on your neck

3) Try it first on the trampoline or with someone spotting you, like a grown up or a coach.

4) Do not be discouraged if your first time is less than perfect. Not even the greatest gymnist was born throwing back flips.

5) Take tumbling classes in your local gym.

6) Try it without shoes at first.

7) Do not try this without adult supervision, this is a dangerous stunt and can be fatal. DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!
